Uncut Wood

I spent the last decade bridging the gap between digital space and physical form. For me, design is not about following trends or adding layers; it is about stripping away the noise until only the essential remains. My approach is rooted in the idea of utility as beauty. I am drawn to objects and systems built to endure, to be repaired, and to be used for a lifetime. I value the honesty of functional purism, design that do not apologize for its existence and never try to be anything other than what it is. In the Tao Te Ching, there is a passage that serves me as a compass:

What works reliably is to know the raw silk, hold the uncut wood.
Need little, want less.
Forget the rules.
Be untroubled.

I strive to "hold the uncut wood"—to prioritize authenticity and structural integrity over fleeting trends. I believe in design that is untroubled; solutions that are robust enough to fade into the background and let their purpose speak for itself. As Colin Chapman famously put it: "Simplify, then add lightness." By combining strategic brand identity with digital experiences and intentional imagery, I help partners create work that feels human, durable, and true.
